Republic of Srpska President Visits Ribnik Municipality


The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, today visited the municipality of Ribnik, where she spoke with the leadership of this local community. The President of the Republic stated that the municipality of Ribnik is financially and politically stable, and that the local authorities and the institutions of Srpska are implementing significant infrastructure and projects in the field of utilities.

“The debt rate of the municipality is five percent, and we can really be satisfied with the way the budget is functioning and the rate that dues and liabilities with regard to budget beneficiaries are met,” said President Cvijanović.

President Cvijanović pointed out that it is important that people in local communities take care of individual benefits for students, pupils, new mothers.

“I am grateful for that, as well as for the fact that the Ribnik authorities also take care of farmers. This is important so that people will stay in the area of the municipality,” added President Cvijanović.

According to the President of the Republic, Ribnik has great tourist potential, and the local authorities will implement projects in the field of tourism.

President Cvijanović underlined that the meeting also discussed jobs and potentials for employment of women.

“This remains one of the matters that we will be dealing with this year. I am trying to show to the citizens and local authorities that, together with Serbia, we are taking care of this area, namely, that we are working to solve the building of a kindergarten and a youth centre. The priority is the development of infrastructure and jobs so that the residents understand that the municipality has a future,” concluded the President of the Republic of Srpska.

Earlier in the day, the President of the Republic of Srpska visited the memorial room for the fallen soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Srpska.
