Republic of Srpska President Meets with Leadership of Laktaši Municipality


The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, spoke today with the leadership of the Municipality of Laktaši.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that the Municipality of Laktaši is an example of a successful local community, which has a stable budget of 17.5 million KM.

“Institutions of the Republic of Srpska stand at the service and disposal of Laktaši, but also of all local communities in Srpska,” said President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic expressed satisfaction with the projects implemented in this local community, and today’s meeting discussed many future projects that will be carried out in the forthcoming period.

“I am glad that, along with some important infrastructure projects in the field of traffic, plans have been made in the area of preschool and secondary education. These are projects of exceptional importance and significance for all parents who live here,” noted President Cvijanović and added that certain companies have shown interest in being part of the activities related to providing places in kindergartens.

The President of the Republic pointed out that Laktaši have tourist potentials and spa-tourist centres that represent a good chance for creating new jobs and attracting investment, especially in the year of the pandemic.

“The Government of the Republic of Srpska is willing and prepared, together with the local authorities, to do all which is necessary so everything is ready for the period after the pandemic,” stressed President Cvijanović.

The President of Srpska reiterated that she is satisfied with the stability of the municipal budget in Laktaši and that good co-operation exists with the republic’s institutions, and underlined the fact that local authorities are focused on improving the quality life and further developing this municipality.

The meeting was also attended by the Republic of Srpska Prime Minister, Radovan Višković, and by the Serb member and Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik.
