The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović extended congratulations on the occasion of Christmas to the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, metropolitans, bishops, clergy, monks and the entire Serb Orthodox people, as well as all Orthodox believers who celebrate Christmas according to the Julian calendar.

“In the spirit of customs and religious tradition, may the celebration of the happiest Christian holiday – Christmas bring joy, love, spiritual peace, hope for progress and a better future into your homes.

The birth of Jesus Christ brings us together, brings us closer and reminds us of true human, family values, and the time behind us, with many challenges, has once again shown how important health, strength of communion and humanity are to us.

Wishing you to spend the upcoming Christmas days, filled with joy and warmth, with your loved ones, I salute you with a generous ancient Bethlehem greeting: PEACE FROM GOD, CHRIST IS BORN!”, reads the congratulation message by the President Cvijanović.
