29/09/2023

The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik met today with the co-reporters of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for Bosnia and Herzegovina Zsolt Németh and Aleksandar Nikoloski.

The President of the Republic of Srpska informed the interlocutors about the political situation in Srpska and BiH, as well as about various mechanisms of pressure on the Republic of Srpska and attempts to delegitimize it.

The President Dodik emphasized that the Republic of Srpska, despite numerous pressures and obstacles to its progress, is institutionally stable, has positive macroeconomic indicators and is capable of defending all its interests.

The President of the Republic reiterated his clear position that Srpska rejects any kind of action by Christian Schmidt as a high representative because the UN Security Council did not confirm him as stipulated in the Dayton Peace Agreement and that Schmidt, by presenting himself falsely, is causing damage and endangering the sovereignty of BiH.

The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that full respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement and the constitutional position of the entities and constituent peoples in BiH is a prerequisite for better understanding and efficient functioning of institutions at all levels of government.
